I've been in a pretty good mood the last couple days! Its kinda nice considering the bouts of brooding Im prone to. I had a pretty good weekend. Went to Saturn Friday night with a buncha friends of mine after the LRC meeting. Rose and Tiffany threw a dinner party Saturday night at this house that one of them is house-sitting. It was a lot of fun! I like hanging out with those people! Tao, the Pete's and some of the others that were at Pete Saporito's B-day dinner. I wish Rachel coulda been there. Speaking of which, approaching the 48 hour point till I pick her up! Can't wait! I go through some pretty intense moments of missing her. Fortunately I have a few good friends and there's been stuff to do and occupy the evenings that can get a bit lonely. Ive gotten to talk to her everyday since she's been gone, but only briefly. Better than nothing I suppose. The MOnster Squad show for me was much more tolerable than the show last week. For me anyway, not so much for some of the other staff. MOnster Squad's actually a pretty good live band. Ive seen them a couple times before, but I guess I didnt pay much attention or something. All the other bands were really good as well! Dakota's band, F.B.S. was a lot better than I thought they'd be. Unfortunately the singer was involved in some brawl outside during Monster Squads set, and ended up having to get a few stitches. The cops ended showing up as well. Jim, from the 418 project is gonna be calling a meeting with al lt ehlocal promoters, monitors and security people to discuss the situation, since I guess the cops are watching the place and there's been a buncha bullshit with some of the attendee's as well. I might start monitoring there in th enear future. Jim's gonna talk to me about it at the meeting. It pays 12 bux an hour under the table, and I can use the cash so Im into it! Because of the incident at the show Sunday night, F.B.S ended up not being up to playing the following night at The Jury Room. Stellar Corpses and Dun Bin Had both played really good sets. I had a really good time! Brian and Lena(the bartenders) kept hooking me up with Shirly Temples and Red Bulls. I ended up hanging out and talking with Emmy for a long time. It was a great way to top off a 3 day weekend! So I helped secure a gig for the Last Chordz in Gilroy next Sunday! The guys seem pretty stoked about it. I might call in sick Monday, I guess we'll see.
